“Resolve This” is a structured, two-step process for assessing a workplace issue before taking action.

How It Works

Step 1: Provide a structured description of the situation, the issue, and the outcome sought.
Step 2: Complete a guided reflection using a structured set of follow-up questions.

This process is intentionally structured in two steps. Instructions for Step 2 will be provided after completion of Step 1.

Expectations (Important)

Complete and thoughtful responses are required. Submissions that are incomplete, non-responsive, or rely on placeholders (e.g., “N/A”) will not be reviewed.

Submission of either step does not guarantee a response or publication.

Briefly describe what is happening, focusing on observable facts. You may wish to draft and refine your response for clarity before submitting.


Section 3 – Problem

Briefly describe your main issue or concern. Focus on what is not working or needs to change.


Section 4 – Desired Outcome

Describe the realistic outcome you are seeking from your perspective. Focus on what can reasonably be achieved and what would need to change.


Section 5 – Constraints

Briefly describe any workplace constraints you are aware of. Examples may include time pressures, relevant policies, or differences in authority or access.
