About Mark Lefcowitz

Mark Lefcowitz is the author of Resolving Issues with Your Boss: Six Practical Strategies for Resolving Conflict at Work and its companion Compendium Matrix Guide, both available through Amazon and other major booksellers.

A Process and Work Systems Engineer, Project Manager, and Senior Business & Data Analyst, Mark brings more than 30 years of experience in Information Technology (IT) across both the private and public sectors. His work focuses on Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Organizational Transformation, and Strategic Change Enablement.

He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Master, and Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Over the course of his career, he has served as a Program Manager, Senior Subject Matter Expert, and Facilitated Process Expert in complex and evolving operating environments.

In parallel with his work in process improvement, Mark has more than 15 years of experience in mediation and dispute resolution as an independent practitioner, writer, and practical theorist. He served as a non-attorney member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution and was a founding member and first President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Society for Professionals in Dispute Resolution (SPIDR).

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh, with a double major in Sociology and Political Science and a focus on conflict analysis and dispute resolution.

His writing and research have appeared in the U.S. Army Journal of Installation Management, the Journal of Homeland Security, TechRepublic.com, and LinkedIn, where he continues to publish insights on business transformation and workplace conflict resolution.

His work reflects a career spent navigating complex systems—both technical and human.
